These sit inside between wears, holding the walls open and the base full so the silhouette stays where it should. Quilted velvet outside, soft filling inside, cut to the shape of the bag rather than to a generic box.
Questions about bag shapers
Is a bag shaper the same as a bag organiser?
No, and they solve different problems. An organiser is a fabric insert with pockets that holds your things and lifts them out in one go. A shaper holds the bag's form and nothing else. It fills the volume so the walls stay open and the base stays full while the bag is stored. We make shapers, not organisers. If what you want is compartments, this is not that.
How do I choose the right shaper for my bag?
Measure the base of your bag, width first, then depth. Every shaper lists its own dimensions, and the number in the name is the base width it is cut for. If your bag sits between two sizes, take the smaller. A shaper that has to be forced in will push the leather out rather than hold it.
What is the difference between the named shapes and the universal ones?
Sofia, Nadia, Ines and Nora are cut to the geometry of a specific bag line: a deep wedge, a slim wedge, a block, a flap. The universals are cut by bag type instead: Clutch, Cube, Satchel, Tote, Shoulder, Square, Shopper, Weekender, Hobo and Barrel. If your bag is not one of the named families, find it by type and by base measurement.
Do you have a shaper for a Birkin, Kelly, Lady Dior or Chanel flap?
Yes. Sofia is cut for the deep wedge of a Birkin, in 25 and 35. Nadia is the slim wedge of a Kelly, in 20, 25, 28, 32 and 35. Ines is the block shape of a Lady Dior, in 20 and 24. Nora is cut for a flap bag, in 17, 25 and 30. Brand names are used only to indicate compatibility. Will a shaper mark the leather?
It should not. The outer is quilted velvet over soft filling, so nothing firm sits against the lining, and there is no board, frame or plastic inside. It is firm enough to hold a line and soft enough to sit against fine leather.
What colour are they?
Black velvet throughout. The shaper lives inside the bag, so it is cut to disappear rather than to be seen.
How do I clean them?
Dry clean only. Steam gently on low heat to release creases.
